Havelock Chamber of Commerce Members that have elected to join the Military Affairs sub-committee because of our deep respect and appreciation for what our military does for our community. Many of us have previously served in the armed forces.
To accomplish this purpose, the MAC shall serve as a vital, informal communication link among and between MCAS Cherry Point, the Chamber, the Havelock Board of Commissioners, the Craven County Commissioners, The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Military Affairs (GACMA), the Civilian Military Community Council (CMCC), and state and federal legislators.
Each quarter, the MAC holds a "Service Person of the Quarter" event to honor a service member for their contribution to the greater Havelock area. Additionally, we hold a "Pig Picking" event on MCAS Cherry Point, along with several "morale" events each year for the Single Marines Program. Each event honors our service members for their duty and sacrifice to this great nation.
